A little over a year ago, a few individuals created group on the Slack app titled "Young Black Austin" with the purpose of providing a platform for young people of color in the Austin-area (our peers) to network, build relationships, and connect with each other. Since it's inception, solely through word-of-mouth and grassroots marketing, the group has grown to over 750+ members!
